Ruger has a "Good Things Come In Threes" contest going now where you win an LCP with two extra mags, and a SR9c with one extra mag, and a LCR with a speedloader, all packed in a Ruger range bag.
ALL of that is the grand prize.
The next three prizes are each gun by itself, I forget in which order. I think the SR9c is the second prize, then the LCR, and the LCP is fourth.

Just my .02 cents worth here...
If I purchased a new firearm and it broke after the first shot I would send it back and get my money back.
I would never trust that pistol again, even if they gave me a brand new one to replace your broken one

I'm not ready to demand my money back yet. Like new cars, newly introduced firearms have troubles too. Look at the previous recalls from Ruger, S&W and Remington. It just happens. I'll keep working with this Bodyguard 380 and send it back as often as I have to. I'll want to run about 500 rounds through it to establish reliability before I carry it for self-defense. During the past year I've also gotten lemons from Henry, MSAR and Beretta. Let the buyer beware.
I agree with locoweed. I've sent firearms back to S&W and Taurus for fixes. Both seemed to have done a first rate job or the repairs. I wouldn't rely on any firearm for personal defense that I hadn't fired enough to be confident that I could shoot it accurately enough and it would function reliably. I've got a Taurus .380 that had extractor and feed problems. It went back and looks like it's been fixed. However, I still need a few more rounds to assure break in and rely on the fix.
