I finally did it! I put a Crimson Trace LG-405 on my S&W

And I glad I did. My groups tightened from about 6"-8" to about half of that at 20'. I've also learned, by watching the laser, how to steady things down and hold the laser on the target.

I also use it to practice "instinct" pointing. Point and click the laser on to see where it's actually pointing.

IMO, it makes a very good learning tool as well as a sighting tool.

Laser's make for interesting shooting. They let you know what you are doing as you shoot. I have a CT laser on my M&P. Works well, but I can't see it in bright daylight so practice time is limited.

It's a lot like shooting a dot sight, it reveals all.
