I have the PT1911B and like it. The trigger is pretty good and it is easy to shoot accurately. I haven't had any problems with the pistol that I didn't create. It took me a few rounds to adjust to the Heine sights. The finish is the only weak spot I've seen with the blued version. The stainless finish looks to be better. If I were in the market for another 1911, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Taurus.

I can't wait to try mine out. Have 400 rounds just waiting for it. I'll let ya know what I think after I've tried it.

I have the PT1911 in blue, and it shoots so nicely. I think the stainless is a great choice, and I think you'll love the gun. I bought mine used (150 rds, so he said) for $400. The blue on the gun, like greener says, is a little weak, and can wear off. I bought some bake on laquer that works pretty well and dresses it up like new. One thing about buying it used is that I don't worry too much about it's appearance compared to how it shoots, and it shoots reliably. It hasn't had any problems so far. Even for a lousy shot like me, I find it very accurate. I also put a Hi-Viz front sight on it.

Good looking beat up used old gun, H'man. $400 is not a bad deal on a lightly used PT1911.

How hard was it to replace the front sight? Do it yourself? Looks like nice set-up. Were the original sights the Heinie 2 dot system?

I had a hard time replacing them. The original sight wouldn't come out very easy (I had to pound the h... out of it), and the HiViz was difficult putting in. If it were me, and I had to do it all over again, I would leave the original in. The 2-dot system is a very nice system for sighting. Others might disagree though.

Finally got it and gonna shoot it this weekend.
