Recoil Springs

I acquired a 70 series Colt Commander along with two other wheelguns in a package deal, I believe the Colt went thru Wilsons shop at one time or another. Been loading 185, 200gn lead SWC's, and 230gn lead RN's over modest charges of 231. I've adjusted the charge to the point where I'm slinging brass about 18-24" up and over. The question is should I be changing out the recoil spring for different loadings. I have no way of knowing what spring is in the gun now. I don't own too many bottomfeeders, and any input is appreciated, I don't want a broken frame to be a symtom of cause and affect I may have been able to correct sooner.....Thanks........2#
