10/22 swivels on synthetic stock?

I'm debating an All-Weather 10/22 in the future. Does anyone have experience putting sling swivels on one? I've done swivels on wood stocks okay. I know some synthetic stocks are hollow where the swivels need to go, making it a headache. And, I would prefer a swivel on the forearm instead of the unfortunately plastic barrel band.

Also, anyone know of a true stainless swivel besides the Talon brand? I have found several that are just nickel plated.

Nobody here knows anything about Ruger's 10/22 synthetic stock? I've had lots of readers but no replies to my above post. I suppose I'll email Ruger and see what they can tell me.

I'm swaying more toward the 10/22 Sporter. anyway........

The walnut is sure prettier than plastic, and already has swivels on it.

Ruger emailed back that the synthetic stock was not designed for use with swivels. Simple enough.

I can't do a rifle without a sling, so the walnut Sporter it will be. I have a strong suspicion that Santa is bringing me one, anyway............
