Help Bullseye Please?

You helped a while back with the torque setting on the action. I expecting my torque screwdriver today. Now what is a good # for scope and rings? I'm having to send in my scope for repairs, but whoever tightened this thing did it very very tight. Assuming I get it off, what # is a good # for remounting the scope and rings?

Depending on the caliber, you LocTite the screws. So this may explain why it's so tight.

25-30 inch lbs on the screw that hold the ring to the base and 15 to 20 inch lbs on the scope rings that hold the scope.

Recumbent got that one for you. You want to use some blue locktite on the scope ring screws so they don't back out under recoil. Too much torque on the scope screws and you can damage the scope tube.
