William Tell shor or damn near put my foot in my mouth
My bud and I were out for a little afternoon fun today and after getting the scope dialed in pretty good, we started to shoot the flowers off the Queen Anne's lace by shooting off the stem about an inch or so below thee blossom. Well I was getting bored and as I print my targets on 28# paper and use a hole punch so I can carry the in a 3 ring binder, I shot off my big mouth. The hole are 0.250, told My bud to watch the left upper hole and I was going to shoot a hole in the backer without touching the target paper. Hopped I could get close enough so I would not look like a total fool, wheel the results are to be seen.

You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

I would call that equal portion of good and luck, although I do have the utmost confidence in that gun. That was my Savage BTVLSS in .22LR, only mod to it is the DIP heavy bottom metal, which did improve it's consistency Gumballs would be fun but my bud and I would probably eat up all the targets. I also have the twin to that gun in 17HRM use it to shoot blackboard chalk broken I 1/2 at 100 yards. have 9 with 10 shots only missing one. Sometime punching holes in paper gets boring. You have to use high-power scopes for this kind of shooting so you can see stuff happen.Bullseye wrote:I fixed that original post. Nice shooting.

Might work with the .17, I think the hole may be smaller than .220Bullseye wrote:Reactive targets are fun to watch. Plenty of opportunities in the candy world for a variety of challenging targets at a relatively small cost. Perhaps shooting through the center hole of a Lifesafer candy?

Maybe the "Winchester 73" movie trick? Jimmy Stewart shoots a postage stamp that's over the hole of a tossed washer.
