I haven't been happy with the results I've been getting with my 10/22 with the sporter barrel. I finally replaced it with a Green Mountain barrel. A local dealer said he had gotten good results with the Running Boar barrel. It's the standard taper barrel with the last 4" 0.920" OD.
My sighting target using Fed Value Pack at 50 yards
It didn't like Federal 510 and loved Wolf MT.

Good looking rifle. That should be pretty nice for shooting off hand with that extra weight out front.

Took it out yesterday. "we" did a lot better. Shot very well with Blazer, Fed 36gr HP and Federal 510. Bit of a problem feeding the first couple of lead rounds in the mag. They wanted to go high and jam. Didn't try the other mag. Think it's turning out to be a good barrel. It does not shoot as well as the .920" target barrel. Still, it's a lot of fun to fiddle with.
