My New(To me) 41

Post by KAZ » Sat Aug 02, 2008 10:42 am

Hello, I'm new to this forum, but I'm happy to see many of my favorite posters from RFC. Perhaps I will at some point be able to contribute something worthwhile. I love to shoot 22 RF, and find myself only taking them to the range. This is my 41 that I've owned for two weeks, I regret that I wasted so many years without realizing just what great pistols these are. Regards

Welcome to Guntalk-Online KAZ.

That's a nice looking 7" M-41 you have there. I'm sure that you'll get a lot of enjoyment out of it. What type of shooting discipline are you planning to shoot with it?

KAZ,

I finished roughing out a web help page for your Model 41 spring upgrades. You can look here http://guntalk-online.com/Model41maintenance.htm

It still needs some formatting but that page will do for your spring kit upgrades.

If you need more detail or have questions don't hesitate to ask.

Hope this helps.

Bullseye, thank you so much! That is exactly what I needed to do things right from the start. Where will it be posted on this forum so that I can send others this way? Regards

I'm going to polish it up a little before I add the M-41 link to the forum's index page. I wanted to get it in place so you would have it for your spring upgrade. That was why I asked what were your needs, that way I could tailor the page to better assist you.

I would also like to say KAZ, that if there's more info you deem necessary - post it here and I'll generate the changes for the maintenance help page.

Bullseye, did you see the responses? Already 2 pages thanking you for the great job, so, I wasn't the only one seeking assistance. I first tried on the S&W forum, and there was nothing to be had. I see the same questions on other rimfire segments of forums as new 41 owners show up. We need to be able to know where to start trouble shooting as FTF events occur. When you are ready I'll make certain they know where the quality resides. Regards and thanks again for your kindness/knowledge.

Yes I sure did. I never thought that so many folks would be interested in that info or I would have created that page long ago. See KAZ, you made a difference by asking those questions.

I've added in the trigger adjustment procedures and cleaned up the page. I went to the forum's index page and added a new M-41 link to the service tab.

I have a few more ideas but I'm always open to suggestions to make things better.

I guess I'll have to add in a new sticky link to the M-41 page in the technical forum too.
