Phew...
Well not perfect but got 'er done. Amazing difference in grip, able to hold steady with a much looser grip=less fatigue. Palm shelf is like cheating. Aesthetics are nice, I just need to clean up that bad cut on the lower right panel excess someday. A darker wood would have been better but eh.
Note I opted not to drill a sear pin hole, I felt it was too risky so close to the grip screw hole. I just relieved around the pin an eighth of an inch or so. I put some silicone grease on the grip screws hoping they will not bite over time and will go on and off easy without taking off the bushings. I used jb weld to hold the screws in, it seems to be holding well...but I wouldn't be surprised if every few years I need to re-epoxy.
Here are the pics:

I would just add that the grip creates 2 issues, which don't matter to me but might to someone:
1. its easiest to use left hand for mag release now, difficult to reach with right thumb now. same for slide stop. both can be done, but you will have to turn your body to keep muzzle down range.
2. the excess right grip panel on the bottom has to stay to hold the palm shelf screws when you lower the shelf to get at the grip screw. this means you have to just use your finger tips to slap in the magazine, i.e. you can't really get access to the magazine base from the right side.
these could be issues for time-sensitive competition, but for me and bullseye they are non-issues.

Looks real good Mechlobo! I like the look of those grips on the 22/45 frame.
The National Match grips are mainly for one-handed bullseye shooting so quick access to the magazine release isn't a problem for conventional pistol shooting. I might have lowered the curved rear wood surface around the thumb safety button for better access. The thumb safety isn't used in bullseye shooting but that alteration would complete the installation.
Looks good, enjoy that pistol!
