Yesterday I had a new Vq sear, trigger and extractor installed. After four magazines the bolt will not go more in than half way. Seems to be stopped by the magazine or something. What's up

What type of Ruger 22 Auto is this? (22/45 or regular metal framed pistol) If you shot 4 magazines out of it before this failure then it is unlikely that the new parts are causing this problem. It almost sounds as if the bolt stop is not dropping; is the bolt stopping on an empty mag or a full one?

magazine disconnect
The gun is a Mk III. The bolt stops on both a loaded an unloaded mag. It will close after i press the bolt stop button but will not load a round or close if I just pull the bolt back and let it go forward
Well, this definitely isolates the problem down to the bolt stop components. The main question now is what is causing it to sit up high enough to catch the bolt with a full magazine, or why isn't it fully dropping? The next step would be to disassemble the pistol and remove these components. Remove the bolt stop and the spring plunger and clean them (and behind them) thoroughly. You may have some dirt and grit in behind there binding up the bolt stop components keep them from functioning fully. Reassemble the pistol and test it out again.
Hope this helps.
