I have been shooting my new Hunter and it is really sweet. Decided to try an apeture rear sight because I hear they work great with less strain on they eyes.
Ordered the set from Numrich (large and small) and with the help of Bulleye's instruction site, I got it installed. (the small one).

I did have to file the little notch on the blade just a tad. It wouldn't go in the slot.
My front site was loose , so after the rear blade job, I cleaned it up and locktited it's mounting screw.
I will excersise it tomorrow after the locktite sets up. The sight picture with this apeture looks really good.
I'm betting it's a winner for me.
I am very happy with the pistol, no problems and it really shoots. Guess I've only got about 200 round thru it so far. It's one nice looking gun !
Oh, also I ordered a front site for a bull barrel and a regular rear notch blade for the rear sight assembly. But-the way this hi vis front site looks with the apeture rear, I don't think I will need to change anything else !
Good shootin, Pete
New Apeture rear sight blade on MKIII Hunter
Moderators: Bullseye, Moderators
In case someone is interested....I got my regular notched rear blade in and installed it in place of the peep site (apeture). Seems like I am shooting better with the notch......Also, the standard vee that came with the Hunter did pretty well. I think the small apeture may be too large as it also fits on rifles.....easy to shoot with, tho. The notched blade was $1.82 at Numrich with free shipping.

Notch/"High Viz"
I'm gonna give the notch/target rear blade with the "High Viz" front a try. I appreciate your experience on this little trip.
