Loaded Magazine Release

When I release a loaded magazine from my Mark III Hunter, it does not pop out. I have to manually pull out the magazine. Empty magazines, on the other hand, pop out when I push the magazine release button. Is this normal?

Yes this is normal if you have the magazine disconnector safety feature still installed in your Hunter pistol. The spring loaded hook of the mag disconnector safety pinches the the back of the magazine body by design and prevents it from falling free when released. Typically mags fall freely when the pistols are new but shortly afterwards the magazines begin sticking in the frame.
