I was unable to find anything with search.
I would like to know what the difference is between the Mark I and the Mark II?

I wouldn't be able to itemize the details off-the-top(or side) of my head.
but suffice to say the MK1 goes back to pre-1980-ish...
and had: no Auto-Bolt-Hold-Open and some differences in the
'Mags'... the MK3s have the Politically-Correct(safety features)
that left the firing-mechanics alone...
so, if you just want the older model: great.
the MK2s are definitely *my* favorite... that's why I have a spare!
I don't know the mfg-numbers, but it is likely that as many
Ruger MKx are made in a year as all other .22LR handguns...
so, they should continue to be available, if you keep looking...
and should always be a worthwhile consideration...
but with the mfg-counts... they may never become 'valuable'.
was there a specific concern/consideration... ?
good luck, --toy

The main difference is the MKII has the last shot bolt hold open feature, the MKI does not.

Besides not having a bolt hold open lever and catch, the Mark I or Standard has a round receiver tube all the way back to the bolt ears.
The Mark II has a set of semi-circular relief cuts near the bolt ears to facilitate gripping the bolt with the fingers pinched together.

The 50th anniversary MK II's also have the round tube all the way back, no relief cuts. Noticed this on mine, then went on gunbroker to check some pictures out. The relief cuts do make it easier to hold the bolt.

Another difference is that a Mark I has a nine shot capacity while a Mark II has ten.

Bullseye,
Those are fantastic grips you have on your MK I and II's. Are they custom made? The checkered set on the MK I is really beautiful.

Yes they are, I made them myself. I have big hands and the normal sized grips didn't fill my hand. Took me about 16 hours to hand-checker them.
