I like the CCI-SV (Standard Velocity) in the 100 round plastic slip top cases. Generally I find them for $26-$28/500. Very consistent performing rounds, my Model 41's love these the best, even over Tenex and SK Match.

I buy Aquilla Standard Velocity from the CMP. $159.00 + $20.00 shipping per case. They are working well for me.

Through an educational process over Christmas, I discovered that instead of buying over the web for ammo, sometimes you can buy cheaper locally. I got a little Christmas $$ and this is what I wanted.

Found the best price for Speers/CCI -Standard velocity 100 rd. plastic at Natchez $5.34 plus you pay the shipping.

I called a local sporting goods store, said I wanted to buy bulk and if they could match or come close I'd just soon buy from them, they said 2500 + to get it at $5.12. I drove total of 30 miles and paid no shipping.

So next time if you have the $$ to buy bulk and save, first try locally you may be surprised.

Sounds like a happy ending. I''ll be looking forward to hearing how that CCI works out for you.
