And its baby blue too. Looks like a lot of fun, really looking forward to hearing how well it shoots.

That's a Tactical Solutions Pac-lite lightweight receiver/barrel for the Ruger 22 Auto pistol. You can see more about these at their website http://www.tacticalsol.com/homefast.htm

I don't know if I'll ever buy anything from them.

Their website takes WAAAAAYYYYYY too long to load.

Here's a low speed version for you microguy - I forgot some folks are on a dial-up web access. http://www.tacticalsol.com/home.htm

Thanks, you'd think they would have a "Skip" button out there or something.

Living out in the country keeps me from getting anything better than dial up. Grrr.......

Trying to get the cable hookup, but dang, I'm not going to pay for cable TV too! Been there, done that and swore I'd never go through that again.

They do have an intro index page that offers a choice of High Speed or Dial-Up but I only posted the HS link. When you posted your experience with the site, I realized my mistake and posted a direct link to the Dial-Up index page.

Bullseye

Would you thread that?

How would you feel about threading that aluminum barrel??

I'm thinking about getting the 4.5" receiver/barrel for the silencer use, but I'm not sure about threading THAT barrel.

I know they sell them pre threaded, but I'm not sure I like those either, or even if they'll fit the Hunter model, just the 22/45.

My guess, from a non-gun-person, would be that they have to have a steel insert so they can rifle it. So by the time you threaded it, that would live a fairly small aluminum "core" around that steel insert.

Seems like to me, that would be asking for trouble.

Just curious though.

And do you know if they'll fit the Hunter or just the 22/44 (can't tell from the photo which one you have)

I have built Pac-Lites on MKII's, III's, and on 22/45's. They are pretty much universal. As far as the threading taking too much off of the end, it seems pretty solid to me. I'll get some pictures and post them up for you.

(and this one is on a MKII)
