One thing I noticed about this new gun, is that it never fails to load one type of ammo the other one would never load.

Just for the heck of it, I bought some of those .22 LR shot shells. They have a plastic tip.

(I know, worthless at more than 10 feet, I just wanted to play with 'em, I didn't even know they made it for a .22! Crazy!! Thinking about getting some tracers for it too!!)

Anyway, the Demon Gun would never load it. It ALWAYS hit the bottom of the feed ramp. I'm not sure how, because the bullet should never be that low when it's loading. But that's a different thing.

Or it would point upwards at about 45 degrees and get stuck in that corner at the end of the barrel and the top of it.

But with this new gun, they load every single time. I'm curious to see how it deals with the Winchester bulk .22 I was using. The Demon would jam about every 50 shots or so, I was losing about 5% of my ammo. Because once it hits that feed ramp, it cuts into the bullet and makes it unusable.

So I really want to see how it reacts to this ammo now. (CCI seemed to work very well, mostly because of the shape of the bullet, more pointed)

Man, this gun is SO much better. I know it's not the model, just the gun itself. But the difference is really striking.

the CCI "Shot Shells" (for .22lr .22wmr .38 ...) are typically
ONLY useful in a Revolver... or maybe a Bolt-Action (pump/lever) rifle
as they are not likely to feed thru any Semi-Auto action...

Oh yeah, I just bought it as a novelty. I shot one at the range, and the spread was just as useless as it can be. I don't even see why the sell 'em really.

And I only load one at a time. Like the Colibri primer shot. Can't activate the bolt, but still fun. (and that one is useful around here)

It's just that the Demon gun would NEVER accept it (even just one in the magazine), whereas this one takes 'em no problem.

(and I would not advise anybody using them in a magazine in this gun, because if it does grab that feed ramp, it can break open the plastic cap, and you have a gun full of tiny lead balls)

I have some of the CCI-shotshells in .22wmr, .22lr and .38

for a small 'critter', the .22lr in my .22 revolver would serve to
"allow for my accuracy" when my target is not a paper-bulls-eye...

One opportunity last fall... my uncle had a (FAT) O'Possum coming
to the cat-food-tray... I used my .38 revolver with a Shot-Shell
as my First-Shot in his waddling-rear-end as a "stun"...
then while (s)he was busy deciding what to do... I got in my
couple 'fatal' shots with my .22lr
all from the Ranch-house porch... to minimize any damage from
my flying-lead!!

As best I could tell, the possum was not "hurt" by the .38 shotshell,
even at about 10-12ft... but it did cause him to pause and reflect
for a moment... If I were to need to shoot at my (booted) foot to
attempt to hit a coiled-snake... I might prefer to have a couple
.22 shot-shells in the first-two holes... as I doubt that I could hit
a snake-head with a .22, even at 3-4ft... especially with all that
sh*t running down my pants leg!!!
