I placed a 1.5-4 pistol telescope on my new MkII. Its a 226-******* serial number 6 7/8" stainless Gov't target model (slabsides). After zeroing I had clusters of shots 1/4" and one 4 shot group 1/8". This was at 25yds with a hand hold arms resting on a chair arm. At 50 yds the best I could do was 1 1/2" The good groups were with a TF cadence. Paralax was evident on 4x, it did better on 1.5x power.

With another MkII, one with iron sights, once zeroed I scored 92 at 50yds SF. This MkII is a 2005 stainless lower and a 1985 blue 6 7/8" tapered barrel upper, Volquartsen rear sight and Toyota trigger work and stippling. Last week before the trigger work, I had a 94 SF. I don't always do this good with a Hammerli.

Just goes to show that these Rugers can keep up with the best of them and they won't break your wallet.

I saw that one the other day, nice looking shooter. The two-tone finish and stippling job look very good. I don't have a fondness for the VQ extended bolt stop but that's just me.
