My problem started buying Volquartsen grips.I put them on,and I could not operate the bolt.Sent them back to volquartsen they installed a extended bolt stop so I could operated the bolt. And the Mark III did not operate the way it did before sending it.I could not pull the bolt back to chamber the next round. The only way it would chamber was to release the bolt stop.So I sent it back to Ruger with the after-market parts still in...
They repaired Barrel/receiver assembly
They replaced Bolt stop assembly
They replaced Firing stop
They even supplied me with new grips.
They also noted that Altered after-market grips do not support hammer pivot pin, causing pistol to malfunction.I am so happy to get back. And no charge did have to pay postage to get it there. :D

Happy to hear your pistol is back up and running.

I am curious as to what modification of a VQ grip would alter the support of the hammer pin. Who altered the left-hand portion of the grip where the hammer pin head sits? This condition would also happen if the left-hand OEM grip was loose. The left side grip keeps the hammer pivot pin secure against the bolt stop.
