.22 Stoeger Luger
A colleague of mine has a .22 Stoeger Luger that he wants $325 for. (Not sure of the model).
It has 2 mags, a holster, and the bottom half of the box (with form-fit plastic) that it came in.
I'm not an expert, but I'd call the condition good to fair, using NRA guidelines.
Any thoughts on whether this is a good deal?
Thanks,

Eddie I'm posting this message here in response to your e-mail question, in case the message didn't get back to you.
Eddie,
You're not being forward at all, you just need info in a hurry.
Stoeger 22 Lugers came in two styles, aluminum alloy frame and steel framed. They had 4" or 6" barreled models with fixed or target sights. They were made in the 1960-1980's. There are many mixed opinions on the reliability of this model. A good going rate today is anywhere around $200-$250 for a NIB, and less depending on the condition. They can be a little tempermental with ammo.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, Bullseye! And thanks for moving it to where it probably should have been in the first place - (just wasn't sure where this type of question belonged!)
I think that means that $300 is probably not a fantastic buy, so now it boils down to whether I think it's unusual enough to spend the money.
Cheers!

Re: Stoeger
They are cheaply made imitations of Lugers. Not accurate or reliable. If you want a 22 semi, you're better off with a second hand Ruger Mark 2 bull barrel. They are available for about $200 and will last a lifetime.
In the late 70's, someone wanted to trade me $100 plus one of these for my Browning 380 and everyone thought he was trying to put one over on me. I don't even like 380's.
