My new S&W 22A-1 Great Fun

I have a S&W Model 41, I decided that if my son in law comes over it would be nice to have a gun for him to shoot Bulls Eye with. I also really like the looks of the 22A's and wanted a S&W with the life time warranty.
I picked this 22A up yesterday after ordering it from my LGS, $148.00 Hell of a good price for any gun made in america. I bought the 7" just because I like the longer barrel. I read a lot about these guns on the internet. I know several people that have had problems with them, but mine has fired approx. 450 rounds with out one problem. The trigger is not near as good as my 41 but it's not bad either. It kinda has a two stage trigger pull, 1st stage no resistance at all, 2nd stage take a breath and squeeze, takes a little effort (not the lightest trigger), but it will get better with more rounds as it breaks in. I may even polish it up, but I am not in anyway dissatisfied with the trigger. The gun fired almost as good as my 41. Here is a picture of the gun and a target that it fired from 25 yrds, 10 rounds, scoped with a cheap NcStar 2-7x32 scope ( that works very well and also has a Life time warranty $54.00 on Ebay) using CCI SV ammo. I did pull one round ( dang it ) that target is only 1 1/4" across.

Here are the pictures

Sweet looking gun, and you shoot it well. Question: How do you hold the gun steady with all that scope?

Scope is pretty light and I use a bench rest at 25 yards.
I don't know why S&W has such a bad rep on this gun. Mine is such a joy to shot. The only thing I did to the gun except the scope is to cut and sand the right grips thumb rest off. My hands are so small and the grips are so wide on this gun. To bad no one is making a thinner wood grip for this gun. Oh well Maybe I will, make my own when weather warms up.

Nice shooting ....... even though you used a scope and rest. I would have to to shoot that good  With every thing mainly Al the total weight may be less than a MKIII. The 2x7 is a nice range for a pistol scope.
