It was about time for Ruger to make a 22 single action revolver with a greater than six round capability.

I've been wanting a SA .22 revolver, this is getting close to what I'd like, I think.
Would it be one-round-at-a-time working the ejector rod and loading in fresh, or would it be faster to just pull out the cylinder like on my NAA mini?

Another notice today, the Gunsite rifle can now be had in a lefty model.
So far as the Single-Ten, if I replaced the Williams with original Ruger sights, I would like it fine. But no better than my Single-Six.

Pulling the cylinder, you'd still have to poke out the empties. Probably be easier to use the ejector six, plus four extra, times.

Yeah, I'm familiar with the empty-poking maneuver ... I have to do it for the NAA and I've been picturing a 5-round at once poker-outer gadget for a while now ... sort of a speedUNloader ... if I can make that work and the Ruger cylinder comes out as easily, a 10 round version wouldn't be much harder.
Our course giving up 22mag compatibility and dealing with different sights might put me back to a single six, until someone makes an affordable break-top rimfire revolver, at least.[/list]

If this baby also came with a .22 magnum cylinder, I would already have (at least) one on order.

Once my LGS gets them on the display shelf I imagine I will plink down the dough... The Single Ten looks like a winner. I have come to really like fiber optic sights, too.
My son has a Single Six and we love it. This seems like a nice complement to it. It would have been nice if they also made a magnum cylinder for it; maybe 8 rounds or something?

I think Ruger may have a winner here. I would say the magnum cylinder will be out by next year.

Owning a Ruger 45 BHC, I see pros and cons for this pistol. First the Pros:
1) Classy single action revolver
2) Solidly made revolver
3) Nice adjustable sights
4) etc
Cons
1) Ejecting one brass at a time. (significant when shooting 22lr 'cause you generally shoot a couple hundred at each session.
2) Ruger grips are a little too small for me, never get fully settled with them
