I tried searching for this, it's sure to have been brought up before.
Anyone know any difference between Mark II and III grips, besides the notch for the mag button? I've been considering the ivory color factory Mark II grips at the Ruger Store. Not sure how the white would look with stainless. I think I'd just need to do a little file work for fit.

I had some factory MKII grips on my MKIII before I bought a Houge grip. My factory MKIII grips were cracking a lot for some reason, maybe over tightening by myself. I was given some MKII grips and all I did was cut the notch to clear the mag button hold down screw and they worked fine. It was pretty easy cutting the plastic, I think I used a Dremel tool and a file.
Thank you, gentlemen. I'll probably stick with the standard black grips. I don't think white would look best on anything but a black gun.
