For some reason, my small town Bi-Mart no longer stocks Birchwood-Casey Synthetic Gun Scrubber........
What's safe to use instead to clean my synthetic 22/45? I used WD-40 last night before Gallery........ I want some spray agent to knock the crud away from the hammer/sear area and the trigger plunger area......

I use CLP followed by compressed air for poly framed guns. As long as you're not soaking it overnight I don't see how it could harm anything.
I'm fairly sure Ruger is aware of common cleaning products and takes that into consideration when formulating polymer frames ... they don't just melt down random milk jugs.

OK, if brake cleaner isn't degrading B&OM's guns, no way will CLP degrade your 22/45 cousin jack.
I think people worry too much about their exact cleaning regimen. If you remove crud/corrosives/crap and leave behind the appropriate amount of oily film, you're doing pretty well. Anything past that is frills.
Most people spend too much time scrubbing out the bore and not enough on moving parts, for that matter (directed at nobody in particular)

Kerosene and blow it out. Then a oil down with CLP and I am good to go with any of them. The only one I have to pay any special attention to is my .45acp range pistol as I shoot puff loads in it. Chore Boy takes care of that.

I lube, clean and coat my guns with BreakFree CLP. I have left CLP on plastic grips for long periods of time with no problem, also does not effect the powder coat like finsh on my CZ.

I've heard for a while now that "chlorine-free" brake cleaner is a good alternative to syn-safe gun scrubber (at less than half the price). I'll be trying some soon for the actions on a couple of semis. Regular brake cleaner may be rough on plastics.

II have been using CRC Brakleen for about 30 years or so to clean and degrease every thing around here that needed it and never have had any problems.

The only thing I was ever warned about was anything with chlorine in it. I was told it may soften some types of polymers/plastics.

Been using CLP on the 22/45. No problems. Besides, they don't need cleaning too often.

You know that Hoppe's actually sells a #9 hang-up air freshener? Eight bucks for two.
