That looks really nice! When did Ruger start offering blued Hunters?
How does it shoot?

I like the looks of it too!!
I see the grips have the SR Logo & wonder if that's new old stock or if they have some of the older grips left over?? The newest Ruger Logo only has an R

It shoots great, I put 300 through it Sat., and it performed flawlessly.

Nice gun.. The blued Hunter (flutted barrel) is not as common as the SS. Good to hear it shoots good.

I bought the Talo 60th Anniversary model but if I would have seen that one, I'd been on it like duck on a junebug...

Good luck with it.

Welcome to the forum.
That's the first non-stainless Hunter I've "seen." I think I like it.

I don't care for the new logo, it's a shame. There would likely never have been Ruger firearms without Alex Sturm bankrolling the initial 1000 guns. Bill Ruger always honored his friend and business partner, even changing the logo from red to black when Alex died in a car crash.
Now that Bill is gone, they're erasing Sturm from the company. Maybe next they'll change the name to something besides Ruger.

With all due respect, and keeping in mind that I need a new pair of reading glasses. Isn't that a S over the top of a R on the chicken logo?

Oh shoot..I meant to say I also have one of the blued Hunters, but mine has a completely different set of grip panels on it.
