I received the above pistol a couple of weeks ago. I have installed the Clark bushing, a VQ sear and the replacement plate for the LCI. I have a nice crisp trigger with no creep that I can notice. I do have however about a 1/4" of pretravel. Is this normal on these pistols. Any fix short of a new trigger? If a trigger is needed is VQ the way to go? Thanks in advance. Shelby Chastain

I replaced the factory trigger with the VQ trigger and corrected the pretravel to my liking. Some others have drilled and tapped the factory trigger to accept a set screw to accomplish the same thing. There are other trigger options besides VQ.

You can drill and tap your factory trigger with a pretravel screw. This requires a little skill with a drill press and a tap but is do-able for a hobbyist There's a sticky thread in the workshop forum with instructions

You can take most of the pretravel out by using Bullseye DIY pretravel adjustment or by putting in something like a VQ target trigger. I've gone the VQ route. If I do another I'll probably try the DIY approach.

I went the DIY route and very pleased. Yes it's a pain to get set the first time but after that you never touch it.
