I took my MK-III with me tonight to my weekly league shoot. It ran like a champ with only two misfires. Both times the ammo was hit plenty hard, it just didn't fire. That old ammo is 25yrs old and hasn't always been kept in ideal conditions. So I am a happy camper. Only the second time out for it.

A few misfires on old ammo is not unusual. Sounds like you had a good time with that new pistol.

I'd kept shooting it that night, but they dragged me over to the league side where I had to shoot my old 1911. I've got to find myself a .22 league that shoots sometime other than Tuesday nights.

Something's messed up. How the word medication got in my sentence I haven't a clue...

I tried to remove it, but it doesn't show up in edit...

I was wondering about that when I first read it. The word was out of place and didn't seem to make sense. This forum has a filter on it and will substitute words from time to time. Your original word was substituted with another version by the software. I went back in to the original post and edited it to have the meaning you originally meant.

I'm getting old enough that "medication" didn't sound too wrong.
Some .22 ammo you get misfires and some you don't. The better the ammo the fewer the problems. Also, the bulk has more of a lot-to-lot variation in misfires.

The ammo was Federal 550 and bought around the mid-80's. I used to use it for popping squirrels in my old Remington single shot bolt action rifle.
Yes sir Mr Greener I know all about taking the medication anymore. I take a fist full of it every day anymore. Kids keep saying I am in my golden years. Trouble is they don't know the difference between rust and gold.
