1990's Colt Target Model .22LR good?

Went to a gun show today, and the only piece I found intriguing was a Colt Target Model in .22LR. Had a stainless bull barrel (6 inch?) and slide, with adjustable rear sight, and a polymer grip. Actually, looked like just the grip panels and trigger guard were black polymer and the frame was stainless. Had a full length rib on top.
Used, but looked mint for $299 including box and two mags.
Did some looking online later, and found it is somewhat an updated High Standard Duromatic, and Colt only made it from 1994-98? Did I miss an actual deal at the gun show?

I would guess a collector would have to answer your question. I have no idea what they would be worth.

I have a Hi Std Duramatic that I've been shooting since I was a kid, it's always been a solid performer. For $300 with a Colt pony, likely you missed out.

I've seen a few of those Colts around for sale too!!
Never had one & don't see them very often for sale..
I figure if you ever needed a part you'd wish it was a Ruger..
That being said the $300 price sounds good..
I think the last one I saw was $400..

That was Colt's clone to the High Standard 22 target model.

Thanks for the photos, Headknocker. The first photo is the one I saw. Really sharp looking pistol. The lever on the right above the trigger is the mag release, and the button behind the grip is a cross-bolt safety.
I agree about the parts. It's sad that the day a gun is discontinued, the parts all but vanish. What few are still floating around cost a mint.
That's why I pass up guns like this Colt, and why I have a zip lock bag full of little bags of parts, for every gun I own. If any of mine go out of production, I should have parts to keep them going until I'm ten toes up with dirt in my face........

Looks to be striker fired by the cutaway pic..
Like I said I saw one for $400 that wasn't the Target, fixed sights, & it looked very good to me, If I'd have had $300 & the Target model came up it would have been hard to walk away IMO..
But there's so many great $300 Rugers out there..
Most Hi-Standards now days are bringing a mint $500+
