I've got one just like it in stainless but I didn't pay $40 for it. They were on sale for $29 several months back so I picked one up. You leave the rear bottom of the base in the dovetail slot and remove the top part of the factory sight. The rail screws into the factory base. I had a few issues with vibration but a few drops of heavy strength Locktite took care of that.

I was trying to figure out how it mounted.... that makes sense. I might break down and get it drilled and tapped I want to leave the sights on it....

You drift out the rear base cross pin then unscrew the "T" portion of the sight. The mount clips on to the receive in the front and an additional screw goes through the rear into the sight base to secure it. I had to add the Locktite as the rear screw kept vibrating loose within 30 or more shots. Since adding the red Locktite no movement has been detected after 500-700 rounds through the pistol. I put a Millet red dot on that pistol for my bride as she likes to shoot bullseye competition but was having problems with seeing the iron sight.

If you wait, these will be on sale again at Midway. Worth $30 but not $40 IMO.
