Any problems taking out the loaded chamber indicator.

I was having a couple jamming issues. I took out the metal tab in the chamber loaded indicator and left the plastic one in there. Is there any issues doing this. Will the plastic loaded indicator part cause more jams?. Thanks

No, As long as you have the spring in place to keep the plastic part in so it does not move around you should be just fine. You only needed to remove the spring that operated the metal tab. There is a fellow on RFC that sells a filler piece if you want to remove it completely.

When you took the LCI apart was it gummed up with powder residue? The only time I see the LCI causing problems is when it gets gummed up. I use it as detail cleaning timer.

I left the springs in there and just took out the metal piece. Should I take out the spring also?. Yes it was pretty gummed up. Every other clip I would get one shell stuck between the LCI metal piece and the guide rod.

Lots of discussion there.

Personally, I prefer to have the whole thing out, rather than having a feature that appears to be functional but will always indicate "empty chamber".
The hole in the side of your receiver doesn't hurt anything, remember that there is a much larger hole in the other side in the first place.
