Hello,
Are the Mark lll sear issues a one time bad batch that got out? Are those issues corrected now? Or is it just a few that had a glitch?
Thanks Jim

We have no idea. We are hoping it's just one batch, being the first ones with the new precess. Of course they are not going to release that info. Some have no problems with the new sears and some due. I guess it all depends on where your gun in the mix on tollerences. As you know all parts are mfg to a tollerance ±. Then you add all of the +++ & --- up for stacking of parts. But your may be all +++ or --- so then you are at the extreme ends of the scale. So if the part is in the middle of the range no problem, but as you can see if your on one extreme all bets are off.
VQ has been backing these bad parts and even fitting some who send them the lower. I'm not sold on sending them the lowers. Because you do not know if there adj your in spec parts or fitting their parts.

JLB, if you follow the 2 posts on this issue, I will keep everyone updated on what Nick at VQ did to my lower. The one I sent already hac the VQ sear installed. I am sure they will get the issue with the sears resolved, VQ still makes a very good product and I will still do business with them..

Sure am glad I bought the ones for my guns a few years back, before the new and improved came out. It may take a while but once they can find the exact problem it can be fixed.

I am having problems with a VQ sear. I have called VQ three times now and have received nothing but the best service. I will continue to use their parts.

I purchased a VQ sear a couple weeks ago and have had no problems with it.

Will your safety go to "Safe"??
Just wondered, I had to deepen my safety notch a bit & put their sear angel in there to make to go completely Safe..
My VQ sear is taller than the original..
I will have to say that the trigger pull is now around 2lbs & smooth

Remember that not all of the VQ sears are out of specifications, so some folks are not experiencing any problems. That doesn't lessen the difficulties the folks with the out of spec sears are having and again, each sear has its own tolerance issues, so not all are showing the same symptoms. This is why VQ is having difficulty solving the problem; they're not all doing the same thing. One common symptom is not enough trigger travel for the sear to release the hammer.
