Bump on Mk III Magazines

I have read several posts in forums on installing a Clark hammer bushing in a Mk III and removing the mag disconnector. Now I have a, probably silly, question. Should the "bump" on the MK III magazine be removed? I didn't remove it.

No leave the mags alone. If you add a pre adj to the factory trigger you will need to take the nub off the back of the trigger.

OK, this is what I was thinking about. Leaving the nub on would cause the "50 lb" trigger, right?

Yes with a factory trigger, and mag not seated. It's easier to take the nub off of the trigger. This way you will not have something to snag you while handling the mags.

Another issue with the spur on the back of the trigger is if you have pretravel adjusted to a minimum it can grab on the mag's upper window bump. Most VQ triggers have the spur cut off but there are a few out there with it still attached. If there's a spur on the back of the trigger it can interfere with the insertion and extraction of the mag when reloading.

A new VQ trigger is now somewhere between Columbia, MO and Augusta, GA. I will install it next week.
