i used to be on MK2.org that place phased out, and this place took off. anyway i wanted to say thanks for the how-to's helped greatly on the bushing to get rid of the mag disconnect.

here is my little rimfire journey....
started with this over 10 years ago....

to this a couple of years ago

so i bought this a week ago....

yesterday the rest of the goodies came in...

still need a filler though...

Those are some nice looking pistols. It looks like you have a preference for the shorties. I know there's a fellow over at RFC (bpatza) who is making fillers for the LCI slots. You may have to do a little altering to fit your slot, they're not all the same dimensions, but they look very nice. How was that browning??? I would like to have a 2nd B.E. gun just because and I'm curious how did the browny stack up compared to the MKIII?

I can well relate to that. Sold my CZ 452 American with a 24x Weaver scope and a Ruger Mark III to fund a Smith & Wesson Model 41. No complaints though as I absolutely love that 41.

It's very painful, decades later, when you say" I had one of those" and proceed to re-purchase same at 10x the $$....

i have no regrets. i love this MKIII. but ya, have regretted some in the past so i usually don't sell them.

thats kinda tough. since it depends on your priorities. both have their downfalls, and high points.

accuracy as far as i can tell is the same. buckmarks dont' come in stainless, but some models like the contour have a full rail. to tear it down requires tools instead of a secret handshake, but that can be a bad thing. i had a screw strip out on me.

i wouldn't mind owning one again someday.

Not to butt in, but it looks to me to be a Burris Fastfire. I have one on my RST-6. I removed the rear sight for the red dot sight and don't use a rail.

yup burris fastfire. they make a mount that fits into the rear sight notch.

i had planed to get that mount but i do like having the hunter FO sights as backup....

Nice looking (past and new) pistols. The aluminum grips look pretty good.

I've solved the "I sold it" remorse by not selling them. Sooner or later I'm going to have to sort out trade stock from shooting stock.

I have used the same system for years and it works well, the only guns I have ever sold were guns that really did not care for.
