Deformed bullets in a Mark II

After missing four shots a a feral cat, I for some unknown reason checked the remaining bullets -- Yellowjackets -- in my Ruger Mark II's magazine. All of the remaining Yellowjackets had flattened or deformed bullets. I further noticed that in a partially used magazine of Winchester regular hollowpoints, there was also a slight deformation. Is this common and how will it effect accuracy?

Oh, I don't need to be reminded that my misses this morning may not have been caused by the ammo.

I have noticed a few bullets loose but normally not. I think it gets to how they are handled that makes them loosen up. I have not noticed any problems with accuray, but I do not shoot bullseye competition. It may may impair the highend target ammo, which is why these are packaged when they can not bang into each other badly. But I do not shot Rem ammo, mostly Fed.
