Trigger Shield for Mark II

Can someone tell me where I can buy a trigger shield for a Mark II?
IF not, can I get a measurement off one? The trigger area is the worst for crud build up -fast. Thanks for any replies!!

Trigger shield? I'm not wure whet you are referring to, but I made something similar out of an aluminun can and cut to fit the bounus of it is that is shimmed the wobble out of where the upper and lower fit together

Bullseye , thanks alot i will make one out of metal shims I got left over from when I work in a Machine shop.

I'm not the least bit handy, but I could do it.
I did have to sample several types of barley pop to find a can with the right thickness.

Actually I didn't write that thread on making a blast shield, JJFunk did. It was a repost I made here at GTOL with his permission. I also added another style of blast shield to the thread, but it too was from an older design. That design was once commercially available but the small company that made them went out of business many years back. Either way the information is here for everyone to use.

There is a disadvantage with knowing about the blast shield. I talked my local gun pusher into a reasonably good price reduction on a 1973 Standard that had a severe case of wobbles from the grip frame receiver fit. If I hadn't known that it could be easily fixed, I wouldn't have bought the pistol.

Been there, done that.
I once bought a complete MKI Standard in pieces from a pawnshop after the poor owner had tried to clean it and could not reassemble it.
The pawnbroker could not either, so he figured $20.00 would cover all the 'parts'.
I had that one for well over 20 years.
Ahhh, the memories.

the blst shield thread is the one I was talking about..... I think Vincent or recumbant told me about it on RFC a long time ago......
