I've been using CCI MiniMags in my MkIII Hunter for a while. They work absolutely perfectly. As it seems to be harder to find Minimags, I would like to know if there is a good copper plated substitute with the same power and who might carry them. Thanks in advance.

My MKIII can shoot most anything. I have had good luck with Federal 550 Bulk Pack (load # 750) and WW Exert22 (Molly coated, not Cu). AE22 are the most accurate I have found so far on the cheap side, these are cu plate.

For practice I buy CCI Blazer. The numbers are very close. It is not copper plated but for practice that is a non issue. I still use Mini Mags in matches.

I've used Winchester Power Points very successfully, they're a little higher in velocity than mini mags but they shoot well.

Unless you are doing serious competition shooting, I suspect that you won't notice a major difference between mini-mags and Fed550

Mine shoots anything with .22LR on the box. I like the Federal 550 pack and the 333 from Wal-Mart also.

My Beretta 21a likes mini-mags and CCI Stingers because the other stuff will often catch a spent case on the way out. (Blowback gun)

I haven't fired the 6.35 Mauser yet but will try the Winchester .25 Auto Colt's after I clean and examine the gun.

I've had problems with Aguila ammo feeding. I try to stay away from any Remington ammo. Everything else shoots pretty well.

You evidently don't own a Sig Mosquito, POJ. The only thing it shoots consistantly is CCI & Fed AM(heresay). My Ruger will not shoot the Eley SV (made by Aguilla) at all either. Other then that, it shoots just about everything, even the dreaded "Remington" brands. I am able to chew right thru the "Goldens" and other Rems w/o a prob.

I tried to talk you out of the Sig Mesquito, but you did it anyway. The airsoft is my training gun and it shoots all of the 5mm .2gr BB with out any issues.

There is a table on RimfireCentral that gives the std deviation of most rounds. You may want to take a peak at it and see what closely matches it. I was surprised that the CCI Std Vel ranked toward the end. This does not have any thing to do with working in your gun but it will give you an idea if they are going to be accurate. There is also another table giving energy from the rounds. So maybe you need to match the energy so it will work the bolt without issues.

While standard deviation will come into the equation when shooting rifle (especially at long range), it has little to do with how well a particular pistol shoots a particular load at normal pistol ranges (50 yds or less).

I used to do a lot of Ransom testing with a chronograph. I found that some of the loads with the largest deviation of velocity also gave me the best groups. After retesting the results with the same end I quit using the chronograph.

As I primarily shoot Bullseye at 50 yards or less with my pistols, the target tells me everything I need to know.

The chart would come into the equation more if I was trying to shoot longer range with a 22 rifle or if I was shooting small bore.
