Here's another target to look at shot this one , one handed at 50 ft . the target is a 50ft B-3 .

I score that target as a 92-0x, not a 91-0x. I see three (10's), six (9's), and one (8) for a total of eight points lost. Eight from one hundred is ninety-two. Did you count that outer shot as a seven? It breaks the line and is scored at the higher ring value.

You're doing well for just getting started one-handed. Keep it up!

actually the way I scored it is ...............there's that 4 hole cluster at the 7:00 postion I scored it as 3 -9's and 1 -8 ...............but if you want to give me a 92 I"LL take it ......................keith

Actualluy Georgezilla I'm working pretty hard to get targets to look like that .I havent been shooting bullseye style very long, 4-5 range sessions .I do enjoy it but I do find it difficult. when I was at the range shooting saturday there was a older fellow ,shooting a high standard with iron sights. and most of his shoots where 10 ring ...............I'm very impressed by anyone that can hold the 10 ring most of the time with iron sights ...............either way Im have'in fun ..someday It'll all come together and I'll shoot that well to.............. keith

I use the self-patching targets. No holes in the black and I'm pretty sure they went there. Must be the target repairing itself.

Right, and I have witnessed that happening to your target last week at the range, boy they really heal over quickly.

I don't have the target in front of me for an overlay but that 8 o'clock shot looks like it would touch the edge of the nine ring, so I called it a 9.

Your whole group appears to be centered slightly off to the left, so I'd add a click or two of right windage to the rear sight.

Windage adjustment or adjusting trailing foot position for NPA?

The shot group is very consistent, I'd make the sight correction and leave the stance be as it is.

Ive already made the sight adjustment , and the targets that I shot after that did reflect it . they just didnt look as good as that one ...I find the fundimentals from the Army pistol book very helpful ... I think I find my natueral piont of aim farely easy and my grip seems to be getting more consisten and If all goes well and I can get off the shot within 5 secs I'll have a target that looks like the last one ...............but it's all good I'm haveing a lot of fun and if it where easy I wouldnt like it so much..........

I have to agree with you Keith that Army Marksmanship Guide is a great read for beginning shooters interested in pistol marksmanship fundamentals. Most folks have to read it many times to digest all the information packed into those pages. It's a great reference source to have.

Keep up the practice, as you go along and your stamina will improve giving you better groupings over longer periods of time. I think you've got the interest to take this discipline farther and improve your technique. I know you'll have fun along the way. Be sure to keep a log of your scores so you can realize your improvements over time.
