My new toys

Post by rammed » Sat Jun 20, 2009 4:06 pm

I found these pistols at a gun shop that had bought a collection. Both were marked as is. I couldn't find anything wrong with them. They were just dirty and gummy. Took a chance and bought both of them. Pulled the grips and cleaned them with brake cleaner and lubed with break free.

Took them to the range and found they both function great. Very accurate.
The H&R "Special 22" is a 9 shot double action only. The H&R "Eureka Sportsman" is 6 shot single action only.

Does anyone else have some vintage rimfires they would like to share.

Just looking for some variety from the "how do you install VQ parts in a Ruger" threads. :P

Nice pieces!

I passed up a chance at a High Standard Duramatic. When I had second thoughts and went back to look at it again, it was gone... :(
An empty weapon is just a very expensive hammer.

Nice! The old H&R's were some good shootin' and reliable handguns. Good find, enjoy them.

Welcome rammed, I like them very much! My M14 was made by H&R, it was a shooter. Regards
