Eley Ammo in MK II GC

Post by Dri-Wash » Tue May 05, 2009 9:50 am

I am wondering if any one has tried the Eley match grade ammo in the MK II.

I am looking to try there top of the line ammo. Just would like to see how and what grade in there line will shoot the best.....

I know that there best grade is pricey but it would be cool to see how tight of a shot group my MK II can produce.... I know that 90 % of it will be the shooter but if I get the pistol in a good rest it may surprise me...

Your thoughts on this.....

I've found Eley Ten-x to be the most accurate ammo in my MKII at 50 yards. It will group under 3/4" out of the Ransom Rest. I only use it for the 50 yard line at Camp Perry, Regionals and State matches. For indoor and 25 yard line I use either Aquila Se or CCI SV. Ten-x is just too costly to justify its use at any other time. the rest of the time(practice and local matches) I'll stay with CCI or Aquila. They only group 1 1/2" at 50 yards, but I can't hold that good anyway.

FWIW
