Son delivered the 22/45 last Friday, Scope was delivered FedEx next day. Because the 22/45 was not drilled and tapped for scope, I ordered the Weigand mount. The rings that came with the scope were not QD's and were quite high, I ordered new rings. Mount and Rings came in yesterday. With all in hand I ran.....well, walked fast out to the shop and put it all together. Bore sighted to get it on the paper. Will test fire it today. Still need a filler screw for the front sight screw hole.
I'm not really please with the stock trigger. A full 1/8" pre-travel, then after sear is engaged it seems forever before it actually breaks. I'm sure a VQ sear is in order. Not sure about the trigger. Is the VQ trigger better than drilling and tapping the stock trigger for adjustments? I'd hate to spend money for something I can do myself, but I have no experience with the VQ trigger. Suggestions?
