A1 Optic Halo Red Dot

Post by CigarSmoker » Sun Apr 19, 2009 5:43 pm

I've been researching affordable red dots on the web & found the A1 Optic Halo Red Dot 1x22x33mm with the 7/8" Weaver type mount on sale for only $54.95. (Supposed regular retail price of $149). Anyone have any experience with these? I know the price seems a bit low for a quality sight, but the manufacturer's site sure makes them appear worthy of my MKIII. I like the idea of getting something with aluminum finish to match the stainless Hunter. I'd appreciate any feedback from the more experienced shooters here before making my purchase. THANKS!!!!!

Check their warranty and return policy. I have no experience with the A1 optics holo sight. What I have seen is on the inexpensive HOLO sights with 4 different recticles is that the POI will change when you change recticles.

It looks just like an NcStar, it could have been manufactured by the same company. The price looks comparable. I had one of these and the POI did change when you changed the reticle. If you picked a reticle, zeroed it, didn't change it, and were not in bright sunlight, it was OK. I eventually replaced it with an Ultradot Matchdot and am now very satisfied.
