muzzle brake on a 41

Can it be removed? Is it supposed to be replaced with something else?
The muzzle brake can be removed but you'd want the blank off muzzle cover (also known as a false muzzle) to install afterwards. Take a look at this thread on RFC, the guy has the pistol with the muzzle brake and the blank off adapter is sitting on the top cover of his pistol case. http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/sh ... p?t=247100
