22/45 mag disconnect

Post by mopac » Wed Oct 29, 2008 3:47 pm

I just received my part # 517, oversized pin and bushing kit from Clark Custom. I noticed that the bushing kit is missing the .045" built in washer on the shaft ( under the .049 washer as seen in Bullseyes drawing.
Will this still work as a mag disconnect?

What you received is a Mark II style hammer bushing. It can be used with your Mark III hammer and will function fine. The head of the bushing is wider than the relief cut on the Mark III hammer and will not create a spacing problem. You don't need the smaller washer in this case. The washer spacing is just for someone who is removing the mag disconnect and use the OEM Mark III style hammer bushing. The Mark II bushing in a Mark III hammer will look like this when installed.

You will have to tap the Clark bushing in into the hammer, but the spacing will be correct.

Hope this helps.
