Hoppes go bad?

Post by frank » Mon Oct 20, 2008 7:28 pm

I have some Hoppes that's been around for 20 years. Anything to worry about? I bought a pint way back when and still have half.

As long as the lid was sealed securely, it should be alright. As the Hoppes solvent evaporates, it gets thicker and darker. I have a bottle that looks like molasses when placed on a patch but it still works well when I use it.

Thanks, Bullseye! By the way, I installed the Volquartzen sear and trigger in my MarkIII 512, and the wife immediately out shot me!
