I wish I could install 1/2 clicks somehow. Thanks to everyone for the help. I'm going to join a shooting club on the recommendation/invitation of a old friend I just re-found.
Be careful with this hobby. You might start to figure that if the sights on one gun aren't just right the solution is not to replace the sights, but to get another gun. That's what happened to me, but I learned never to let a second childhood go to waste.

The discussion on the red dot was early on in all this... I have a 3 minute red dot (Red Head/Simmons) on my BM Camo Camper. It also has a 5 minute red dot which I do not care for because it does cover up too much of the bull. The 3 minute dot seems to be just right for a 1 inch or maybe it is an 1 1/2 diameter bull at 50 feet or so. In the pic below i fired something like 30 rounds at the bull. I have had similar bulls with maybe a few less rounds, but a very definite hole in the target. The small red dot really works nice on the camper.

This target was at 75 feet. I was shooting a bit right of the bull, and corrected that later. But I was really pleased with the group. This was a 2-hand hold over the top of my range bag. The top target was shot in the same manner.

Work is for people who don't hunt, plink or fish. Now that I am retired, I hunt, plink and fish. Life is good.

Not bad. TB. I prefer the smaller dots.

Definitely a group! Those red dot sights work wonder for older eyes. Good shooting!

Needs a bright orange ribbon tied to it to prevent misplacement. That camo stuff could cause the loss of a lot of turkey hunters shotguns.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.
