Great explanation of dementia

Dr. Nancy Snyderman was on the Today Show, talking about people getting older and forgetful and used the following example to explain the different levels of memory loss.

If you forget where you put the car keys, that's just forgetfulness.

If you forget where you put the car, that's senility.

If you forget what the car is for, that's dementia.

If you think you are the car, ask the nursing home
you're already in, to increase your meds.

I'm in, I ordered the VQ MKIII 22/45 kit a few minutes ago. Can't wait.
Hey Curm, I just installed one in mind, but haven't shot it yet. Wow, the trigger does seem highly tuned when you get done though. I'll try and shoot this weekend though.

Do make a difference, eh? Wait until you shoot it.

My position on the VQ upgrade kits hasn't changed over all the years; I see no real reason to buy the whole VQ trigger accurizing upgrade kit when just a VQ sear and Adjustable target trigger will accomplish the same results.

Got to agree with you there my friend, those are the only parts needed. In fact all om y 22/45's just have the sear with the pre travel screw added to the stock trigger. Yes the VQ trigger can be adjusted without removing the receiver and trigger, but once you get the adjustment right there is no longer any need for the external adjustments. Mine are MarkII's so they are simpler, and they can be totally adjusted without putting the receiver on if you pay attention to what you are doing and cocking the hammer by hand. Since I have done mine a few years ago, I have never had to go back to readjust them yet. :D :D

I didn't take that advice a couple years ago and installed the trigger/sear/hammer on my Hunter. A while later I put the trigger and sear on a 22/45. There is probably a difference, but not enough for me to notice. I pretty much got the same results for half the price.

Hope you get your air gun all right, I can not have one because i live in Michigan and it is considered a real gun and must be sent to an FFL, by the time the transfer and everything it is not really worth buying one and jumping through all the hoops. Glad to know there is another Olde Pharte on this forum.

this came from "shipping TO Mi"...
if you were to go to a SportingGoods store to buy an
AirRifle (and/or AirPistol)... would they run a Background Check?
or just sell it to you... ?

I recall some-such detail on one of my orders...
I was told that "an adult" had to be present to sign-for-it... (ie UPS)
so, I made an effort to be there for delivery...
but they came early and just left it on the porch... D'oh

Stopped on the way home from the range yesterday, yes it was 60 degrees and I got some shooting in , asked my friend/dealer/gunsmith about that.

If you go in to buy said air gun pistol you must either have a Valid Michigan Concealed Pistols License or a Permit to Purchase from your local LEO Department and they run the Federal check and everything else. Whether you are purchasing a .177 pellet pistol, an S&W .500 Magnum or a .475 Wildey, like Charles Bronson used in one of his movies it is all the same. The only people in the State that do not have to meeeet State and Federal requirements are THE BAD GUYS. How do you like them apples. What do you have to do in Texas?
