I can't knock a company that steps up when they know that a problem happened. Mistakes happen, it's what you do afterwards to fix them that makes the difference to me.

I got a replacement box this week. Fired about 100 rounds with no problems. I think Federal's response was great. They replaced the ammo, quickly and without any fuss when I couldn't tell them the lot number and wasn't expecting any replacement.

I bought a brick of Feds at WM yesterday. Lot number looks something like "1 1 31 1:<1454" Ink is smudged a bit and difficult to decipher the middle numbers. Load No. 750, for whatever that means.
I hope to get to an indoor range one evening this week. See if any of the stuff mentioned occurs. I did see a .pdf file where ATK is raising ammo prices 5% (if memory serves me right) on the first of April.

BTW, B&OM, MDW (my dear wife) couldn't stand it any longer and Now I have several great pistols, or one H*** of a nice shotgun, hiding behind my ears so I can hear MDW give me all her honey do jobs, etc. No more selective hearing, she says. :( Tigerbeetle

I got the shipment of replacement rounds from Federal today, they threw in some extras for good measure, because I hadn't yet had a chance to test the rounds that just happened to be purchased from a different walmart and had a different lot number. They didn't care, they just sent me extras to be sure. Gotta like that.
