Mark II 22/45, Mark III 22/45, or 22/45 Hunter, they're all basically the same. The grip frames are different between the MKII and MKIII 22/45 versions but the internals are the same with the exception of the mag disconnect and the mainspring housing. All the parts are interchangeable. You can even take the Mark III 22/45 parts and place then into a Mark II 22/45 frame.
The differences between the Hunter and the regular 22/45's are all cosemetic.

I got the MK III target trigger from Boomer and installed it today.
After installing it and re-assembling the trigger group, I checked and set the stop screws by installing the mainspring and watched the let off. (Be sure to hold the hammer).
I discovered that if the overtravel screw is set to close, although it will release the hammed, the hammer will drag on the sear as it falls. I would recommend that the screw be set to allow the hammer free travel as it falls.

Bud33,
You can carefully file down the nose of the hammer above the notch to where it clears the sear at letoff. Just be sure not to get into the edge of the notch itself. Then polish that area and it will help some.
That will let you set the overtravel for the least travel but it's really not needed unless you just want the absloute least overtravel.
As you have found, you don't want the hammer dragging on the sear as it will eventually round off the edge of the sear.
Did Rimfire Sports give a reason as to why they don't have the new triggers?
Maybe VQ is in the middle of re-tooling to make them fit all the MK's.

Jack,
I thought about cutting down the hammer but decided that it probably wouldn't make that much difference. I am happy with the way it is but a little disappointed that the overtravel screw sticks out the front of the trigger and is somewhat uncomfortable. Guess I can dress it down with a file .
VQ seemed to be confused about the MK III and the 22/45 and I couldn't seem to get it across that I wanted the A MK III trigger.
I guess it is probably my fault, to some extent as I did originally order a MK II trigger thinking that was the only thing that would fit the 22/45 frame. Thru this forum, I learned that the MK III would fit and sent a e-mail asking to change the order, but they sent the old wide trigger anyway.
All's well that ends well.

Bud33,
VQ seems to be in a flux right now with the triggers but I'm sure Vic will catch up.
File a bit off the rear of the overtravel screw to get the screw head flush or just below the trigger face with no overtravel and you'll be happy with the trigger.
I had one that I had to file down and one that I had to replace the screw with a longer one to get the screw head in the right place. It's just a slight difference in the pistols.
In any case you should be happy with the trigger when you get it set right.
