I may do a field strip and clean once a year whether they need it or not, but I am more of the wipe down and put up. I will clean an action several times before I ever clean a barrel.

By the way, BAOM, here is my Medalist with the BME rail, Simmons 2X and the LH original grip without the rosewood finish. After all this & that, it is heavy. I may take the scope off and find a little red dot to try out on it.
