Very much tongue-in-cheek.Bullseye wrote:Have no fear. I won't be soliciting any sponsorships from any organizations, especially that one. That alphabet organization is well known for its anti 2A stances. The AARP mention was just a tongue-in-cheek reference to the relative advancing age of the membership, based on this thread's discussion of vision and aging eyes.

Thanks my friend, glad to see no one is pulling the wool over the Bullseye. You know there a lot of older shooter that either do not know this or do not care. I will always remember"Moses" Charlton Heston's words about taking the gun from his cold dead hands, me too.Bullseye wrote:Have no fear. My tongue in cheek comment came from thinking about the posters and the fact that I am very interested in what other folks are doing. Especially after spending Sunday with head bobs, looking over the glasses, adjusting the glasses and looking through the bifocals just to see the front sights. Anything I can do to extend the time before I totally rely on red dots will be just great.

You can always buy a laser, red dot or scope to help with the failing eyesight, but the alternative is PERMANENT with no cures.Bullseye wrote:Its better to be known as advancing in age and having failing eyesight than the alternative.![]()

Yes they will do that. Must be nice to go to the range in January, temp here is 18F and with the wind the wind chill is like 2 degrees.greener wrote:I tried some yellow-tinted anti-glare glasses today. Made a great improvement.

Oh, poor frozen little boy, this old man feels for you but not much. Right now temp is 10F, wind chill minus4 and headed down for no temp at all during the night, damn should have payed the temp bill. Now back to the History Channel and watch The Outlaw Josey Wales.greener wrote:48-50, but it felt a lot colder.![]()
Very pleasant way to avoid the HD list.
